Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms
By creating an account or using TenantsRent, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you are using the platform on behalf of a business or entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. The service
TenantsRent provides software for rent collection, maintenance ticket management, and property financial analytics. The platform is provided on an "as-is" basis. We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Payment processing is provided by our third-party processor and is governed by their terms in addition to ours.
3. Fees and payments
TenantsRent is free for landlords. Tenants pay processing fees on rent payments: $2.50 per ACH transfer, or 2.9% + $0.30 per card payment. These fees are disclosed at checkout and are non-refundable except where required by law. We may change pricing with 30 days' notice; changes will not apply retroactively to payments already initiated.
4. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for the accuracy of information you enter, for complying with all applicable landlord-tenant laws (including fair housing, security deposit, and eviction rules in your jurisdiction), and for safeguarding your account credentials. TenantsRent is a software tool, not a substitute for legal, tax, or financial advice. You may not use the service for unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purposes.
5. Termination and limitation of liability
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms, fraudulent activity, or extended inactivity. To the maximum extent permitted by law, TenantsRent's aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the prior twelve months (which, for landlords, is typically zero).
